to serve
Zion in
February
of
2006.
Mark
graduated
from
Luther
College,
Decorah,
IA,
studied
in Bø,
Norway
(located
in the
region
of
Telemark)
and
graduated
from
Luther
Seminary
in
January
of 2006.
Prior to
attending
seminary,
Mark
worked
for a
corporate
consulting
firm who
specialized
in
“listening,
communication,
and
team-building.”
Mark
also
worked
in
Adolescent
Mental
Health
and
Chemical
Dependency
for five
years at
the
University
of
Minnesota
Medical
Center -
Fairview
in
Minneapolis,
Minnesota.
Mark is
married
to Liza
Anderson
Schmid
who
teaches
8th
grade
Earth
Science
at
Edgewood
Middle
School
in
Mounds
View,
Minnesota.
Together,
Mark and
Liza
have two
young
children,
Trygve
and
Josephine.
Mark,
Liza,
Trygve
and
Josephine
live in
south
Minneapolis
with
their
Yellow
Labrador
Retriever,
Dakota
(Kota)
Sheyenne.
Mark
enjoys
re-creation
through
the
enjoyment
of
family
and
friends,
the
outdoors,
athletics,
literature,
music,
woodworking
and home
improvement
projects.
